Rainy Days

by R.S. Mallari (Spk)

Drops of tears from the crying gray sky
Quench the thirst of the barren earth
Summer days are gone, rain will assert
Monsoon will reign, come end of May

Children sing happy tunes while at play
Racing paper boats on a new born creek
Drip of tears from the crying gray sky
Quench the thirst of the barren earth

Farmers with their beasts are on their way
As the rain giving away its yearly treat
Care for the fields that give them wealth
As they watch with thankful smiles
Drip of tears from the crying gray sky
